Idoya Cancelas León
Idoya Cancelas León has a BA in Foreign Languages at the University of Vigo with a specialization in English Linguistics (2017). She completed an MA in Advanced English Studies at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she wrote her dissertation on the complementation of TCM and ditransitive verbs in World Englishes under the supervision of Teresa Fanego and Elena Seoane.
Idoya is now working as a research assistant in the project A register approach to morphosyntactic variation in World Englishes and compilation of resources for its study (The International Corpus of English - Gibraltar), (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness; grant FFI2017-82162-P, PI: Elena Seoane). Her main role is to transcribe and codifiy written texts for the Gibraltar component of the International Corpus of English (ICE-GBR).
