I have a BA in English Philology (2019-2023) from the University of the Balearic Islands. In 2023, I completed my undergraduate thesis on multiple negation in Asian Englishes under the supervision of Cristina Suárez-Gómez, which received the Premi al millor TFG de Estudis Anglesos de la UIB 2022-2023 (BA dissertation extraordinary prize).
I completed a MA in Modern Languages and Literatures (2024) with specialisation in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of the Balearic Islands. My MA thesis entitled "Relativization strategies in Gibraltar English" was also supervised by Cristina Suárez-Gómez.
In 2024, I was awarded a four-year predoctoral grant from the Comunitat Autónoma de les Illes Balears (FPU-CAIB2024) to work on my PhD dissertation on the non-categorical variation of relative clauses in Gibraltar English under the supervision of Cristina Suárez-Gómez while I carry out teaching and research activities at the Department of Spanish, Modern and Classical Languages of the University of the Balearic Islands.
My main research interests are variationist linguistics in the field of World Englishes, with a particular focus on the morphosyntax and sociolinguistics of Gibraltar English.
