Heidi Douglas
Heidi Douglas has a BA in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds (UK) and an MA on Advanced English Studies from the University of Vigo. Her MA thesis deals with English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) and the attitudes of Spanish teachers (ESP teachers, Professors) and PhD students towards ELF and its repercussions on English Language Teaching.
She is currently working on her PhD, which will focus on ELF, building on the research of her MA thesis
As a research assisstant under contract, she focuses particularly on the selection, transcription and codification of texts for the Gibraltar component of the International Corpus of English.
