Anastasia Beloborodova is currently working on her PhD dissertation at the University of Vigo under the supervision of Elena Seoane and Cristina Suárez-Gómez. In July 2024, she was awarded a four-year predoctoral grant by the Xunta de Galicia to conduct research on non-categorical variation in the complementation patterns of DENY across World Englishes. Her PhD dissertation forms part of the research focus of the Language Variation and Textual Categorisation (LVTC) Research Group, specifically within the scope of the project Variation in English Worldwide (ViEW), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (Grant Number: PID2020-117030GB-I00).
She holds a BA in Foreign Languages (2022) and an MA in Advanced English Studies with a specialisation in English Linguistics (2023), both from the University of Vigo. During the final year of her undergraduate studies, she was awarded a collaboration grant (Beca de Colaboración) by the Spanish Ministry of Education to work as a research assistant in the Department of English, French, and German at the University of Vigo, where she contributed to the compilation and codification of the Gibraltar component of the International Corpus of English (ICE-GBR). She has also collaborated in the organisation of several international conferences, including the 32nd European Systemic Functional Linguistics Conference (ESFLC 2023), the STAR Global Conference (2023), the ICAME45 International Conference (2024), and the 2nd Gibraltar International Conference (GIC2, 2024). In 2026, she carried out a research stay at TU Dortmund University under the supervision of Sarah Buschfeld, where she was involved in teaching activities in English linguistics.
